Business Therapy Blueprint

Something's broken. You can feel it.

From the outside it looks like it's working. Revenue's up, the team's bigger, people congratulate you. And you've never been more tired, or less sure what to fix first.

It isn't you. The business has outgrown the way it's run. We spend two days in the room with you and rebuild that, one of us on strategy and one on operations, until the plan is done.

01What's really going on

You're not short of effort. You're working harder than you ever have.

What's happened is simpler than that, and more fixable. The business grew. The way it runs didn't. So everything it needs still comes through you.

That's a design problem. Design problems can be fixed.

02

Why you can't fix it from the inside

  • You're too close. You know the business so well you can't see it any more. Psychologists call it the curse of knowledge: once you know something, you can't imagine not knowing it.
  • You're too busy. Fixing this takes clear, uninterrupted thought, and that's the first thing an overloaded week takes away. When you're stretched, urgent beats important every time. That's how attention works under load. It isn't a lack of discipline.
  • Nobody around you will say it. Your team work for you. Your friends are on your side. People soften bad news for the person in charge, so the honest conversation about your business is the one you never get.

None of that is a failing. It's why this takes someone from outside, and why we call it Business Therapy.

03

Why there are two of us

Most help fixes half of it. A strategy with nothing underneath it is a wish. A set of systems built round the wrong plan is a tidy version of the wrong business.

So you get both of us, in the same room, for both days. One asking where you're going. One asking how it will actually run.

More about us

  • Steph Hamill

    Strategy, innovation, growth

    Steph Hamill

Steph finds the story nobody else can see: the positioning that changes everything, the growth lever nobody's pulling. She has sat one to one with 350+ founders, and the patterns repeat.

  • Jane de Vos

    Operations, systems, execution

    Jane de Vos

Jane sees what you can't see from inside the business, then gets into the detail and builds the fix: the systems, the processes, the team structure. So it holds while you lead it.

04

How it works

It's built the way it is for a reason. Each part removes one of the things in your way.

How the two days work, and why

  1. Before

    You say it out loud

Voice notes, not forms. Your numbers, your team, your systems and the 3am problem. People say things out loud they'd never type, so we arrive knowing the real business.

  2. Day one

We tell you what we see

The real story: what's actually happening, not the version you give people. Two outsiders with no reason to flatter you and every reason to get it right.

  3. Day two

    We build it with you

The 12-month plan, how the business has to run, and the first 90 days. Built in the room, because people use what they helped build.

  4. After

    You run it

Every action leaves with a name and a date on it. We check in at 30 days. If you want us alongside while you deliver it, we can scope that.

05

What you leave with

Not a report. Not recommendations. A plan with names and dates on it, that you watched being built.

    • Team structure and roles
    • Process documentation
    • KPI dashboard
  3. 03 / 03

    90-day roadmap

The first three months, week by week.

    • Week-by-week action plan
    • An owner on every action
    • Measures and a review rhythm
    • Decision log: start, stop, continue
06

Radical honesty

  • You'll hear what you need to hear, not what you want to hear. Kindly, and with a plan attached.
  • You get both of us, both days. No juniors, no handover, no report arriving three weeks later.
  • You'll get a straight answer on fit. If this won't help, we'll say so on the first call. We don't take money for work that won't help.
  • We won't promise what nobody can. Nobody can promise you a result. What we promise is the work, and a plan you can run.
07

Who it's for

  • Founder-led, with a team of 2 to 25.
  • Turning over £250k or more, and past product-market fit.
  • Still the person every decision goes through, and tired of it.

And who it isn't for. If you're pre-revenue, it's too early. If you want someone to agree with you, we're the wrong two people.

08

How it starts

  • A 30-minute call. No pitch, no pressure, nothing to prepare.
  • If it fits, a written scope and a fixed price. No surprises.
  • We both sign. Then the intake starts.
